Material Dialogues

Last month, we were honoured to be part of Material Dialogues: Women at the Intersection of Design and Craft, an exhibition hosted by Twenty One Tonnes in their Los Angeles studio. Curated to celebrate the intersection of contemporary design and traditional craft, the show brought together women-led brands committed to ethical, material-led practices. Alongside TXT.URE and Twenty One Tonnes, we showcased a selection of our core designs—Amila in Moss, Esther in Olive, and Lara in Latte & Sand—each one handwoven in Argentina using age-old techniques passed down through generations.

The exhibition invited visitors to reflect on the stories embedded in natural materials and the enduring value of cultural preservation. It was a powerful celebration of craftsmanship as a vehicle for environmental consciousness, equity, and cross-cultural dialogue. We’re grateful to Twenty One Tonnes for creating a space where design practices rooted in sustainability and slow making could be honoured, and for the opportunity to share the vision behind our rugs with the vibrant Los Angeles creative community.
